Ugg boots are made of sheepskin and are warm inside because of the wool layer. This sheepskin and the wool layer make our feet cozy during winter. But winter is not all about coldness; what about the snow? Walking in the snow can make our boots wet. So are Uggs waterproof for snow?

We used to hear Ugg boots are good for winter, but it took time to make us understand that being good for winter doesn’t make it good for wearing in snow. The moistness can drench the sheepskin layer inside.
Don’t get frustrated, guys! We don’t have magic but have few ideas to make wearable boots in the snow. Let’s find out, are uggs good or waterproof for snow, or do we have to make it good for snow?
Are UGGs Boot Waterproof for Snow?

In my Ugg journey, I found Ugg is not completely waterproof. I am a long-time fan of the Ugg and taste them in almost all kinds of conditions. Though I never exposed my boots to rain for over 10 minutes. As the Ugg boots can get damaged in long prolonged exposure in water.
Are uggs good for snow? I tried it too, and the result was expected. The snow stays on the surface of the Ugg boots and melts, leaving a bad-looking stain on your boot. So for me, any kind of light or heavy snow is not appropriate for wearing classic Ugg.
How to waterproof UGGS

So now you have a complete idea about the classic Ugg boots, which are not waterproof. The Ugg boots are mostly made of suede, the other form of leather. But this softer form of leather can get easily stained by water. And by waterproofing the Ugg will help them not to have any stains.
Are waterproof uggs good for the snow? Waterproofing Ugg doesn’t mean you can wear them in heavy rain or snow. Using waterproof spray ensures the boots look good in all seasons.
What You Will Need
Firstly, you’ll need waterproofing spray specialized for suede. Also, you need a suede brush. Get some newspaper or plastic under the boots.
Step 1. Clean The UGG Boots
Cleaning the Ugg boots before spraying is a must thing to do. Use the suede brush to clean all the dirts and debris from the surface. You don’t need to brush for brand new Ugg boots before spraying..
Step 2. Waterproof The UGG Boots
Once the cleaning is done, get any specialized suede waterproofing spray; don’t use sprays unsuitable for suede leather.
Now hold an Ugg boot in one hand and then start praying for the boot. It’s good if you keep a 10- 15 cm distance between the spray and the boot. keep the spraying hand still and move the hand that holds the boot. So move the boots to get sprayed equally all over the boot equally.
Do this spraying for both boots. Now take the premium suede brush and gently coat it. Move the brush one way. Don’t do this coating by moving the brush too and fro. Then brush the rubber sole gently.
Once the round one is done, start round two immediately. Spray again on both of the boots and no first brush the base and then brush the whole boot like the previous round. You’ll notice the sheepskin starts to get dark. But continue this process until round 3. This time the boots absorb all the coats and look pretty darker.
Use a soft clean fabric to clean the remaining residue for the rubber sole. Do not use the fabric to wipe the sheepskin.
Step 3: Wait until Next Day
Leave this boot full of residue on the suede leather. And come back after 24 hours. But Alas! The boots are back again into their original color, and the softness is there.
