FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules

The new rules for Discloser Compliance were released by the Federal Trade Commission back in 2015. These rules ensure that whenever the blogger or publisher is either sponsored, endorsed, or partnered with a different company, the readers or viewers of web media will be made aware. The readers need to know whenever the content publisher is making money from sharing a link or product.

In compliance with the FTC guidelines, know the following about links and posts on this site:

Any/all of the links on FootwearInside are affiliate links, and a small compensation from the sales of certain items is received.

What Are Affiliate Links?

Only when a reader clicks on the affiliated link found in FootwearInside to buy anything, he directly from the seller, not from FootwearInside. This is how purchases are made on the external affiliate company website.

The buyer does not pay more for buying from an affiliated link. But companies like Amazon pay FootwearInside a commission or compensation for bringing more customers to their website.

There are two main types of affiliate programs for FootwearInside:

1.Amazon affiliate links.

Amazon Services LLC Associate Program is an affiliated advertising program. It allows a medium for website owners to earn when Amazon.com or other websites affiliated with Amazon Service LLC Associates Program is linked to their website. FootwearInside is a participant in this program.

2. Product affiliate links.

When a user buys a product by clicking on the affiliated link, FootwearInside gets a percentage of the sale or other means of compensation. Again, the price remains the same, and the user will not pay more when buying using the link. These links are not “pay per click.”

What about sponsored content?

I provide authentic and unbiased information only and do not write sponsored posts. We will make it clear at the beginning of the post when sponsored content is published on FootwearInside.

The truth is, I do not recommend products unless it is used personally. The product I use is recommended only to my friends and family. When you purchase using the links, it helps in my personal research effort. So, Thank you very, very much! I appreciate you!
